Kia India’s April 2025 model-wise sales – Sonet became No. 1, Ceros also won

Kia India recorded a total of 23,623 units sold in the domestic market in April 2025. This figure was 19,968 units in the same month last year, with which the company has achieved a YoY growth of 18.3 percent.

During this period, Kia Sonet: The No. 1 compact SUV in sales was the best-selling vehicle, with 8,068 units sold. At the same time, Kia Seltos: Strong performance in the mid-size segment The midsize SUV stood second with sales of 6,135 units. Kia Carens: Stable performance in the MPV segment also performed well and sold 5,259 units. Kia Ceros: New entry made a splash The new vehicle launched this month also made a splash as soon as it arrived and registered sales of 4,000 units. Kia Carnival: Presence in the premium MPV segment The fourth-generation MPV, launched last year, also contributed 161 units to the total sales.

Company statement

Commenting on the sales performance, Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said, “We are delighted with this strong start to CY’25, driven by the continued success of the Sonet and the positive market response to the new Syros. Impact of the new car Syros

This calendar year, following the launch of the Syros, Kia has received an overwhelming response from customers, registering a YoY growth of 16.2 per cent over the same period last year. The Korean manufacturer is all set to launch the updated version of the Carens, the Clavis, on May 8, which will be positioned in an even more premium way.

Built on the K1 platform, the Kia Syros gets two engine options – a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Buyers can choose from three gearbox configurations – a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Kia claims that the Syros returns a mileage of 18.2 kmpl in the petrol version, while the figure goes up to 20.75 kmpl in the diesel version.

The fully loaded variants also get the option of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which will cost an additional Rs 80,000. Packed with equipment, the Kia Syros gets a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic display, while the rear seats get both sliding and reclining adjustments. Key highlights also include 17-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a panoramic sunroof and front ventilated seats.
