In April 2025, Yamaha sold a total of 46,826 vehicles, which is much less than April 2024 last year. Sales have also decreased slightly compared to March 2025.

Yamaha FZ series’ stable performance, but Yamaha MT15 and Yamaha R15 suffered a setback!

But, sales of Yamaha MT15 and Yamaha R15 have declined drastically.

Yamaha RY01: Yamaha’s step into the world of electric scooters!
Now the biggest news! Yamaha is now ready to enter the electric two-wheeler segment. The company is going to launch its new electric scooter Yamaha RY01 by the end of this year.
- This scooter is being made in collaboration with Indian startup River.
- It has been specially designed keeping in mind India’s performance-oriented scooter market.
- The price of Yamaha RY01 is expected to be between Rs 1.00-1.20 lakh.
- It will compete with models like Honda Activa E, Ola S1, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
With the arrival of this electric scooter, Yamaha is expected to give new life to the electric segment, especially when electric two-wheeler sales are growing rapidly in India.
Other models and future expectations
Sales of Yamaha Fascino scooter and Aerox 155 also saw a decline. However, Yamaha’s premium bikes R3 and MT03 have seen a good increase in sales. Recently their prices were reduced, which is having a positive effect.
