Sales also decreased in India and foreign markets
Hero MotoCorp sold 2,88,524 vehicles in India in April 2025, which is 43.79% less than 5,13,296 in April 2024 last year. It is also 43.44% less than 5,10,086 in March 2025. Motorcycle sales also decreased, this time 2,86,089 bikes were sold, which is 42.38% less than 4,96,542 in April 2024 and 43.53% less than 5,06,641 in March 2025. Scooter sales also fell, 19,317 scooters were sold in April 2025, which is 47.85% less than 37,043 in April 2024 and 55.04% less than 42,963 in March 2025. Sales abroad also fell, 16,882 vehicles were shipped in April 2025, which is 16.79% less than 20,289 in April 2024 and 57.28% less than 39,518 in March 2025.

Compared to March 2025, motorcycles were down by 43.53%, scooters by 55.04%, sales in India by 43.44%, sales abroad by 57.28%, and total sales by 44.43%. Reason for factory closure
The company said that the reason for the decrease in sales is the factory being closed for a few days. Hero MotoCorp had stopped work at its Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana factories from 17 to 19 April 2025. This was done so that the supply of goods could be fixed, the factory could be repaired, and some new things could be added. The company says that everything will be fine from May 2025 and vehicles will be made and sold again like before.
People still bought a lot of vehicles, VIDA scooter sales increased
Even though the company sent fewer vehicles, people bought a lot of vehicles. In April 2025, more than 5.05 lakh VAHAN registrations of Hero’s petrol-diesel vehicles were done, that is, people are still liking Hero’s vehicles. The company said that its sales share is increasing every month in 2025. Hero’s electric scooter brand VIDA also had good sales. In April 2025, 7,116 units of VIDA V2 electric scooter were dispatched, and 6,123 units were registered in VAHAN, which is much higher than last year.
